Who I Am
Hi - I’m Amy Gordon Yanow. I am a Business Woman, Mother and Community Advocate. After a career in private and public sector (Fortune 250 Company) real estate development, I founded several successful business management and food and beverage ventures, including: Beer and Food Management LLC, with affiliations to Mohawk Bend, Tony’s Darts Away and Golden Road Brewing and Pub, later sold to Anheuser-Busch.
As a young woman, I was inspired by my entrepreneurial grandmother who managed her business and real estate endeavors along with her vast familial obligations as a matriarch.
While attending business school at UCLA, I simultaneously birthed twins and new businesses. I saw firsthand how difficult it would be to carry on with a traditional corporate career trajectory and how important flexibility in the workplace is.
I currently serve as Treasurer for the LA LGBT Center, the largest organization of its kind in the world, and I serve on the Board of Directors for Community Partners 4 Innovation, a social justice organization focused on urban farming and community wellness initiatives.
